Director’s Brief – The Hazard Library Ideas Box

Within my library’s service area, the digital divide continues to impact on residents’ ability to have sufficient and affordable access to broadband internet service. Building on the Librarians Without Borders “Ideas Box” my Director’s Brief focuses on an initiative to bring technology to those in the community who are unable to come to the library in person due to varying age, language and transportation barriers.

As seen above, a laptop and MiFi hotspot are 2 essential elements to providing The Hazard Library Ideas Box to the community.
